No need to add the machine list in the machine master at the server. The Hardware Monitoring Software will automatically scan a range of IP addresses and see if the client module is installed and will extract the Hardware and Software information from all of them. The machine name, IP address and the department will automatically be added. You also have a set up screen, which allows the administrator to enter the password and set a time at which the hardware components on the client machines can be automatically updated. You also have the option of selecting and updating any machine automatically at any time. Just select the machine name, which you want to update; the selected machine gets updated automatically. You can view the status of the machine, which is selected when the start button is clicked. You can also view the status of the domain. You can also delete Inventory for selected machines. This helps the user to delete the inventory details of all the machines selected on the basis of date.

Usually where the number of machines exceeds 100, companies prefer to automatically assign IP addresses to all the machines of the network. Not many software are able to support such kind of a setup as they track the machines based on the IP address. Hardware Tracker has its own unique ID on which the machines are tracked and hence it does not matter if the IP addresses of the machines change.

This feature enables the administrator to add the machines along with the IP address & location manually. The administrator can search for the machines in the local network with their IP addresses. You can also search for machines with starting name or number.

The administrator can select the to view the details hardware devices for any machine. He will be able to view complete hardware specifications of the machine selected.

Machine wise Report displays the names along with hardware details of that particular machine. Updated Devices Report lists all the devices in order and displays their specifications accordingly. Difference Report shows the difference in any of the hardware components between any particular dates. Generated Difference Report shows the last available hardware details and present hardware details and in case there is no change it reflects in the report as 'NO Difference found'. You can also browse the shifting of machines within departments, change in configuration of a PC over a period of time, etc

Hence, you need not physically go to each machine to install the client module. In case you have multiple domains, you will need to use this script on all the servers.

A separate application (exe), which is a part of the package, allows you to extract data into a local text file. This file can then be sent by email or floppy. The Server module can import information from such files and add it to its database. Rest all functionalities will remain the same.
